  • Sattar Bahlulzade collection

    Sattar Bahlulzade was an Azerbaijani painter, best known for his landscape paintings depicting the nature of Azerbaijan. He is considered to be the founder of Azerbaijani Impressionism. Our lobby cafe Sattart was named after him, and his inspiring art pieces can be found on the walls of our hotel.

  • TALE OF ABSHERON by Anar Huseynzade

    The exhibit is modern in execution but incorporates traditional elements, such as elaborate patterns and ornaments, showcasing old Absheron and Baku story. this work was inspired by Absheron - it is a historical part of the capital of Azerbaijan. The most popular and magic place of Absheron is Old City which is surrounded by walls and were easily defended.

    This artwork, created by Leyla Aliyeva, represents the endangered Caucasian leopard, a species native to the region of Azerbaijan. Aliyeva, an artist and environmental activist, frequently uses her art to promote wildlife conservation through her organization, the International Dialogue for Environmental Action (IDEA). The intricate patterns and vibrant greenery symbolize the leopard's natural habitat, reflecting both the beauty and fragility of the species. Aliyeva's commitment to environmental causes, particularly through her efforts to increase awareness of endangered species, is a key theme in her work. The Caucasian leopard, which has seen its population drastically decline, is one of the focal points of her activism.
